Our Founder Principal-Smt. Leela Sharma
V.K.M. feels indebted to its first principal Smt. Leela Sharma who along with her sisters had responded to the call of Mahatma Gandhi to join the 1942 Movement. Later during the post Independence days when she joined V.K.M, Leela ji infused her strong nationalistic fervour into her young students to make them better Indians. Her unsurpassable sense of selfless dedication and commitment nourished the tender roots of the college and gradually chiselled it into an institution which attracted students not only from Varanasi but also from other states of India as well. During the seventies girls from Mauritius and Thailand also came to study in V.K.M.
